Elephant’s Forehead (Haticha Matha)
This
is a plateau like structure measuring about 6 km in the west of Mahableshwar.
The Elephant’s head end of the
point is only 12 ft wide and the sides have a drop of over 2500 feet to the
Koyna Valley below. This point when
viewed from Lodwick point looks like the head of a Elephant. Pratapgadh, forest of Javli and the Javli village can be seen
clearly from this point.
